The Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority (Teagasc) wishes to appoint an agricultural economist.
The successful candidate will undertake research evaluating the impact of price volatility on the Irish agri-food sector. This will include an assessment of the suitability of risk management tools in an Irish context.
The successful candidate will join a team of agricultural economists in the Agricultural Economics Department working on a new research project. The research project, which is funded by the Irish Department of Agriculture Research Stimulus Fund, will engage in a review of the available literature, identify risk management tools and evaluate their usefulness in view of the impact of volatility on the Irish agri-food sector.
