Job description

You develop a joined research centre based on available expertise and infrastructure present at the Laboratory of Food Technology and Engineering (UGent) and Vandemoortele Lipids NV. It is your task to set up and coordinate new research projects in the field of lipid science and technology especially paying attention to the development of innovative healthy lipids.

Profile

Holder of the PhD degree in applied biological sciences;
Having a thorough knowledge of food science and technology;
knowledge of lipid science technology and functionality is a real plus point;
Very interested in writing and setting up research projects;
Very interested in scientific collaborations at national and international level;
Possessing didactical, communicative and organisational skills to supervise the research activities of Master and PhD students;
Published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals;
Possessing didactical, communicative and organisational skills to supervise the research activities of Master and PhD students;
Published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals;
Communicated research results at international scientific conferences.
