Managing a team of c.20 employees, the right incumbent will have the total overview of the vegetables greenhouse project, ensuring that the best cost effective solution for growing top quality vegetables is selected and followed. All functions (climate control, irrigation etc) are fully computerized.
Knowledge and experience:
- Vast experience with growing vegetables in extreme desert conditions is an absolute must
- Proficiency with the most advanced Hi Tech Control systems, familiarity with climates and irrigation control software
- Advanced drip irrigation and fustigation systems
- Experience in pest control, application of pesticides, Herbicides and general plant protection
- Knowledge with fertilizers and applying different formulas during the season
- Knowledge of plant production and nursery operation
- Setting a growing program – including choosing varieties
- Previous experience growing: Bell Peppers, Tomatoes Cherry tomatoes, Cucumbers, Eggplants, Melons
- Agricultural expect with proven managerial skills
- Culturally sensitive and communicative individual
- Fluent in English
